Who is wearing the Crown?

In Jesus, specifically in his Cross, the decisive victory has been won over all the powers of evil, including sin and death themselves. John 19:30 'It is Finished'.

The Gospel is a proclamation to repent and believe the Good News of God’s rule through Jesus Christ.

There is only one Crown and that Crown is for King Jesus.
Too often we take the Crown off Jesus and wear it ourselves.
Or we place the Crown onto Money, Sex, Power, Relationships and worship these created things as King. This is a failure to honour God as God. Sin is failure to acknowledge God as God; failure to trust in God; a failure to honour and thank God.

Many of us play life by our own rules. But faith in Jesus – his life, death and resurrection is to be reflected in lives lived in obedience to him.

2 Cor 5:15
And he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.

In the comment section below, share your thoughts on the above.
Here are a few questions to help you with your thoughts.

Who is wearing the Crown in your relationship with God?

How should knowing Jesus as King change the way you live?

What is the correct response to God’s gracious invitation to join his life and his family?

  2. Jesus as King should change the way I see myself. I am not the boss of Me. My life is lived as a servant of Jesus. He is my Lord.
