Watch the following Coca Cola commercial. (Please put your headphones on to hear the sound.)
This ad gives us a good illustration for what the Good News of God does in transforming us in our relationship with God and each other. In Christ, God is forming One People. All are invited and included to join his Life and participate in sharing this love with the world.
How does this inclusive picture challenge or reinforce your picture of the Gospel and what God is doing in the world?
Where do you see yourself in the ad?
Are you in the bubble?
Outside the bubble?
Drawing people in or being drawn in or maybe even looking on wishing to be asked in?

I feel as though I am in the bubble with many friends and family trying to pull me out. The difficult part is to remember that I have the ability to 'pull' people in. I also often need to continually show how good it is to be inside the bubble!!!
ReplyDeletewhat a great metaphore....something to relate to in the secular world
ReplyDeleteI'm in the bubble but not connecting to other bubbles yet
ReplyDeleteI feel like sometimes my bubble feels like its going to pop!
ReplyDeleteSometime I feel outside the bubble, but I know Jesus can change that for me and allow people come into my life by changing me.
ReplyDeleteLife is better in the bubble!!!!:):):) I'm so excited to draw people into the bubble and perhaps show people that they're already included in the bubble
ReplyDeleteGod Rocks
ReplyDelete'We are all in this together' - merging our bubbles with others... joining together in this amazing family - sharing His wonderful love mercy and grace. We're all in this together!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteShould the Bubble be symbolic of the HOLY SPIRIT then I am in the Bubble. It seems the bubble connects and brings all cultures over the world together. Unites all nations in Love and Joy, how wonderful. Pray for the bubble of the HOLY SPIRIT TO encapsulate the world in the Peace and love of God.
ReplyDeletewhat i love most about my friend is character he never lets me down. thanks friend. were in this together.
ReplyDeleteI feel like i am in the bubble but constantly being pulled out and tempted by those outside of it. To share in there sin, And i often fail. Thankfully God is always there drawing back in to him. Living in THE WORLD is tough and painful and it sometimes seems easier to step out and stay and play. How wrong can we be.
ReplyDeleteI was sad when Jesus Died. By Zack
ReplyDeletei feel life is so busy that our bubbles constantly bump in to one another without a lot of time for to much contact.
ReplyDeleteI find the notion of being inn the bubble and outside the bubble a juxtaposition of Christian life and non Christian life. Where it would be easy to say that we as Christian are represented inside the bubble, I don;t feel like I live in isolation waiting for other bubbles to join me. I feel like I live in the infinite world of 'outside the bubble' and that non Christian people are living in the bubble. There is a freedom that comes with knowing Christ and that doesn't represent a bubble to me.
ReplyDeletebeing in church brings us together and reminds us of gods love so we don't have to feel like we are alone in a bubble.
ReplyDeletei sometimes feel that i am breaking out of the bubble because of the bad things that i do. but every time i read something or hear something that reminds me of god or jesus i am back in the bubble and i feel good
ReplyDeletei feel sometimes that i em left out of stuff i think that it was very good and i believe in god always says
ReplyDeletei feel like im in the bubble and all my friends are in there with me. sometimes i wish that some of the people in my life whose bubbles im not in already, would let me in. but im happy at where i am now.
